Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup  Carrot (finely chopped)
  • 2 cups Taro root (peeled and cubed)
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper To your liking
  • Burger buns
  • Toppings of choice

Instructions
 

  • Boil salted water, add taro, cook for 10-12 mins, then drain.
  • Transfer the taro to a bowl, and mash until smooth.
  • Mix breadcrumbs, onion, carrot, soy sauce, oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Shape mixture into patties.
  • Heat a non-stick pan, and add oil.
  • Cook patties for 5-7 mins on each side until golden.
  • Toast buns, and assemble burgers with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Taro Prep: Peel and slice taro into burger-sized rounds.
  • Fry to Perfection: Pan-fry taro until they're crispy and golden. Crunchy is the goal!
