Wash and Sort the Goya green split peas.
Heat oil in a pan over (medium) heat.
Now, add carrot, onion, garlic, and smoked ham to the pan.
After five minutes, stir the mixture and cook it.
Put 4 cups of water in the pot and heat it on medium-high until it starts boiling.
Mix in the Sazon, Goya Peas, and Chicken Bouillon.
Lower the heat and stir using a wooden spoon.
Allow it to cook for an hour.
You can sprinkle some black pepper and salt to suit your liking.
Add more hot water if necessary.
Serve in individual bowls.
Top with cheese or croutons for extra tastiness.
