  • Avocado (sliced) = 1 
  • Cucumber (Cut into thin sticks) = 1

Step By Step Instructions For Making Steak Sushi

  1. In the beginning, Wash the sushi rice until the water looks clear.
  2. Boil rice with 1 cup of water.
  3. Simmer covered for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Mix vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small pot.
  5. Heat over low until dissolved.
  6. Mix vinegar with cooked rice, let cool.
  7. Heat skillet, season & sear steak for 4-5 mins on each side.
  8. Put the steak on a plate and allow it to cool.
  9. Place Nori’s shiny side down on the sushi mat.
  10. Wet hands, and spread rice on nori.
  11. Leave a 1-inch border, and add sesame seeds.
  12. Arrange avocado and cucumber slices.
  13. Place seared steak slices, and leave gaps.
  14. Roll sushi tightly with a mat.
  15. Remove the roll from the mat, and cut into 1-inch slices.
  16. Use a wet towel to clean the knife after each cut.
  17. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
